I have known Debra Jo Abendroth since she resided in Wisconsin next door to me and watched her interacting with children she cared for which now is approximately 35 years.
She is the President/Administrator of DJ’S Community Christian Academy , 95 s Arroyo Grande Blvd. , Henderson, NV 89012 and President/Administrator of DJ’s Christian Preschool, 101 S. Arroyo Grande Blvd, Henderson, NV 89012.
Her dream was to take care of children which she did by being owner of DJ’S Christian Daycare but she always felt that is was God who lead her to open the Christian Academy . I think that God knew his Debra and knew that this was her life’s path.
I have visited Debra many times and each and every time I still walk away in total awe of her deep love for all the children and students. When you hear people say OH I love your child as if they were my own, she really does. I have witnessed her genuine love for all the children. She has so much patience, understanding, kindness and a determination that all with God’s help and guidance that every child and student will strive to be a better person and achieve greatness.
My grandson, Manuel Castaneda Jr. went to Debra’s Christian Academy when my daughter and family lived in Henderson , NV . They have moved back to Wisconsin and now he has graduated from Germantown High School with honors in June of 2017. He will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to become a physician. We feel that Debra has been a guiding factor in his life.

Since the day Ryder started at 8 weeks old we have felt like family. We have never once worried about leaving Ryder at DJ's - We knew he would be properly taken care of, loved, have fun, and learn exciting new things.

He always came home with new things he learned, fun activities he did, new songs, and stories about his friends. Over these five and a half years he has grown into such a well-rounded young man and a lot of that has to do with being at DJ's. We knew from the first day we toured the school that this was the place for Ryder and we have not one day regretted our decision. You all have been such a blessing to us and especially to Ryder. We will truly miss being at DJ's & thank you for everything from the bottom of our hearts.

The owners are very cordial, the staff as well. It's always very clean and safe. I took my son here for the summer camp program and for the first time he gets along with all the kids. Bullying is not tolerated here which was a constant issue at most daycares. They do arts & crafts, other educational activities and sports. Fridays is water day. My son actually looks forward to coming here, which makes it super easy for me as a working mom to not stress or worry. Overall, I am very happy with this place and will be bringing my son back here during vacation. He's in good hands.

My daughter has been going here since July and I feel very lucky to have found them. As a mother of an infant it is very hard to leave my child with others. However, I have no worries leaving her with the staff here. They are very attentive to her needs and she loves going here. It is a open door policy at all times. The owners are kind fair people. They have taken the time to really know my daughter as well as my husband and I. I am having another baby and would never dream of sending my kids anywhere else.

My daughter Madison loves DJ's Christian Daycare and so do my husband and I. The facility is clean and set up in a great fashion. The open floor plan allows for ease of access, activities and lots of eyes observing all children. The staff is wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Debra Jo is always there! You can see her when you drop off or pick up. She is very hands on! She is the best. The director Kelly Jo is wonderful. I call her for EVERYTHING! We moved to Nevada from Virginia and she helped me find a pediatrician. She made the enrollment process seamless. You are given Care grams daily and the foundations and values they follow are incredible and setting our daughter up for future success. I would recommend DJ's to anyone!!!! It is a great feeling to be able to leave your child in capable hands and not to have to worry about what is going on. With DJ's you can guarantee your child is in great hands.
